Goes to Nick Cohen!
I'd like to congratulate Nick Cohen for his invocation of Cicero's 'hostis humanii generis' in describing the enemy in Iraq. This litterati jujitsu takes the Goldberg Yellow Journalism prize to new levels. Breaking through the Orwell Nexis at light speed, Cohen expects everyone but himself to join the fight against the 'Enemy of Mankind' while he decries the decay of the English language--pure genius Nick! Your brilliant stab at the BBC and Dario Fo last week are placing you firmly in the tradition's of the 101st Fighting Keyboarder's Division. Even Cicero had the decency to join the army before he expected everyone else to fight his battles with the 'enemy of mankind'.

Cicero is credited with inventing the notion of crimes against humanity in the first century BC when he described Mediterranean pirates as 'hostis humani generis'.
Brilliant Latin lesson Nick, An Imperial Roman no less! telling the remnants of the population of Carthage and Spanish that they are the bad guys, used to justify invading Iraq. Yellow journalism doesn't get better than that. Carry on your war against you dinner party chums Nick, that'll show 'the enemy of mankind' what's what. Let's sent Nick Cohen the white feather.
