Hello all Kossacks. I was reading through the news just a few mins ago and up comes a story about Representative Harold Ford having to deal with the latest embarassment involving his family name.
While much of the article was forgetful, they did include this one quote from Ford, which proves my earlier assertion of how highly he regards himself. "There's nothing not positive about my candidacy and about me. I think if I were to switch parties, the Republicans might annoint me Senator."
I am glad that Harold Ford is proud that the GOP would love to have him as their Senator. That's fine. It's just so sad to see the likely DEMOCRATIC nominee saying things like this. "There's nothing not positive about my candidacy and about me?" Christ Harold, tell us what you really think. Last I checked, arrogance really doesn't turn people on to vote.
So our annointed nominee is a Democrat whom many Democratic voters do not like, in a state in which many of it's voters (including conservative Dems) are either reluctant to vote for, or flat out refuse to vote for, an African American, with a last name that is now linked to corruption and scandal. Call me crazy, but exactly how do the Democrats plan to win this race? It's a godsend that both Republican candidates are proven statewide losers. But with our likely nominee, that is probably going to mean nothing.
If I lived in TN, I'd have to get real drunk before I voted for this guy. He's just not the answer.
