I've Had It With These Democrats

Tue May 22, 2007 at 06:57:48 PM PDT

Goddamn It Pelosi and Reid!  Grow “A Pair” or get out of Office - NOW!

I’ve had it with you wimps that pretend to be Democratic Representatives or Senators in Washington DC!

You keep letting Bush walk all over your face with his sharpened “spiked boots”, while you keep telling him “More, more; please spike my face some more”!

The Democrats keep letting Bush Inc kick them in the balls over and over again.  Then after they are done keeling over and finally get up, The Democrats tell Bush to kick them in the balls again!

He smirks and obliges their request with no problem!

The voters that put you in office and keep telling you to fight back!

Yet your reply to every Democratic Voter is the same:

“Are you kidding?  Are you nuts?  You actually want us to FIGHT against the Dictatorship of Bush/Cheney?  You actually want - and think - that we have the stomach to save soldier’s lives in Iraq, while we continue to let ‘Osama been Forgotten’ remain free in Afghanistan/Pakistan?  We can’t do that!  We’re afraid of Bush and that would take balls and guts to take a firm stand!  That would take commitment and determination to vote the way the people, who elected us into our DC Offices, want us to vote!  That means we would actually have to ‘Represent’ our constituents!”

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve had it with these DC Democrats, who keep claiming they "represent” the people back home.

I’m looking elsewhere for a Party that actually has people who stand-up for what the people back home believe in.  I’m looking for a party that has politicians who vote the way people back home want them to vote when legislation or important items, like War or Immigration, come to the House and Senate Floor.

The days of The Democratic Party, that use to stand-up for the people, are over!

    why don't you.

  •  Nice rant.... (0+ / 0-)

...it makes we wish we had a true Democracy where we had more of a choice between parties than Tweedledum and Tweedledee. The Democratic leadership blinked and all will get for it is the passage of a minimum wage. While that is a good thing, it should have appeared in its own bill.

I do believe that they are perhaps too finely attuned to the symbolism of Memorial Day and not finely attuned to the fact that there may well be more Americans to memorialize as we get to that day. They should have bitten the bullet and sent him a more SEVERE bill, or at worse, funded him for another month. After all, the war funding is regarded as an "emergency" appropriation.

So, let's see how he emergency is in a month. They gave it all away though. So, suddenly a rant seems very, very logical. I'm with you.

Please don't tell me you feel sorry for Ben. Ben is a well cared for dalmatian and has not been harmed by my political views.

and be a pain in their ass... please!

We need to make this OUR party, because we'll never be able to defeat the GOP if we split up.    Bottom line, that's what we have to do (see the Supreme Court Justice Yoo diary that's nearby).

However, I agree with the spirit of your rant.   We need to let the powers that be know that they're on notice.

Here is the flawed mindset of beltway dems in action.

They have been brainwashed by republicans into thinking that Dems lost the the "defense" and "toughness" issue because of the Nam war pullout.
Dems did get that war to end and what happened, REALLY? Well the DEMS continued to hold onto congress, and a Democratic candidate beat a sitting president in 76. SOO WHY are they scared then? SIMPLY, it because beltway dems have been mindfucked once again by the Repubs.

Carter was the wrong man at the wrong time for this country, he lost the Dems the defense and toughness card. IT WASN'T STOPPING THE NAM WAR, that lost us that card. Why don't Dems simply look at their fucking history?

It is amazing that Republicans can mindfuck beltway dems so easily that they simply can't even grasp history.  We lost the toughness card because of Carter, then we people like Mondale, and Dukakis, I mean could you find more girly men if you tried?

Stopping illegal wars does not make you weak. BEING WEAK MAKES YOU WEAK!!!!!!!!!

Generals gathered in their masses Just like witches at black masses.. Evil minds that plot destruction Sorcerers of deaths construction..........

Simply no excuses will do. How the hell can we ever hope to get anything done, these Democrats are scared shitless of George W. Bush.

Dems are in the majority for one reason: voters wanted representatives to oppose Bush particularly on Iraq.  But they are failing in this regard.  They are actually showing weakness by capitulating to Bush.  This is what voters don't want to see.

  •  Don't let the door hit you on the way out (0+ / 0-)

Unless you are Tabitha from Passions I don't what you expected them to do.

  •  Cut the funding of the cowards (0+ / 0-)

I've got a plan: cut off all funds to Dems until they get on board with the people. I diaries about it today, here.

Don't you think John McCain looks tired?

  •  You guys are idiots!!! (0+ / 0-)

Some time you must retreat to win.  The votes are not there to over ride a veto and cutting off funding right before Memorial Day will just put blood on our hands.  We need to stop talking about raising the minimum wage and get it signed into law. The war to fund or de-fund the Iraq war is not over.  We may have lost this battle but we will win in the end.

As long as the Republicans and Liberman in the senate stick together, the Democrats are powerless to end the funding of the war.  That is reality.  Since the votes are not there to bring the troops home or end the funding.  Therefore, it is irresponsible not to give the troops the funds needed to continue to fight.

All my Democratic friends need to remember we live in a democracy where sometime a super majority is needed to accomplish your goal.
