Meanwhile...back in the bunker...

Fri May 25, 2007 at 12:29:48 PM PDT

...Dick is one step ahead of us, playing chess with Iran.

See, Dick's People, (Halliburton/Big Oil/MilitaryIndustrialComplex)
are enjoying the plunder of Iraq, and they won't be stopped until
they have sacked Tehran.  Don't miss Stephen Clemons today.

Which makes me wonder if there isn't a connection to the latest
'Capitulation Bill'.  Put on your tinfoil hat and follow me over
over the bend...

If you were a Senator and got wind of Darth's latest moves,
would you risk our troops on the ground and the NINE WARSHIPS
we have in the Persian Gulf right now?

While we have had our eye on the bouncing bills in Washington,
Darth has been making his moves, darting around the Middle East.
I ask you this would a secret meeting with conservative Israelies
been out of the question?

After all, none other than our own esteemed General Wesley Clark
has been warning us all along...

  •  It won't be a war, rather a terrorist attack... (3+ / 0-)

what else do you call a sneak attack from the sky with no intention other than causing pain.

If we had any other people calling the shots, I would dismiss this as irrational.  But that is the hallmark of this administration, isn't it.

What if this date, May 25, 2007 will be considered as part of the good years, before the worst of the new internationally hated America unleashed more fury?

Jimmy Carter was understating his evaluation of this President.

reason not to arm these madmen. Giving them more money isn't going to stop them only embolden them. Congress are the ones wearing the tin foil hats, with added blinders. They only way to stop any of them is to impeach them and/or tie them up with so much oversight that they can't move.

tinfoil hats, which is why the vote was so disappointing?  Anyone take a good look at the roll call?  The capitulators seem to come from Military districts, seems to me...

we strap him into some substandard body armor and let him have at it. He can plant Halliburton's flag in the middle of the Iranian oilfields personally.

it will not happen.  I cannot imagine Israel going along with another US neocon adventure after the bitter defeat Israel took at the hands of Hezbollah last year and the political backlash against Olmert.  Lebanon was the test case for Iran.  It failed miserably, and I think a major military action against Iran is not viewed as realistic.

Furthermore, the military has admirably resited Cheney's efforts over the past year.  Now with 18 months or so left in Bush's term and the Congress having turned to the Democrats, a preemptive strike against Iran would dramatically shift the politics in this country and make it very costly for Bushco.

A few warning shots may be fired so that Cheney can get his thrills (since he can't contact the DC Madam anymore).  However, the US won't be able to run over Iran like it did Iraq.  We don't have enough troops, and they have a lot.  They will also use their influence in Iraq to stir up the pot, and have the ability to attack and damage a US naval vessel in the Persian Gulf.

Imagine the humiliation the Bush Adminstration would endure of Iran actually sank a US naval vessel? It would topple the Administration.  Losing wars is a sure ticket to losing the nativist GOP vote.

6 Ship Captains Replaced in a replay of the DoJ scandal?  And all those retired generals and admirals who couldn't agree with the plans Cheney wanted executed?

Seems they're working hard to get their guys with the 'right stuff' at the helm, ...hmmm...say, aren't there tactical nukes on those ships?

  •  Sat. morning tag duty (0+ / 0-)

Your "Stephen Clemons" tag popped up on the new tags list, so I checked it, found that Steve is the common usage in the tags and changed it. After reading through to the linked story; thanks for that.

By the way, I don't consider dark speculation to be either a rant or tinfoil, so that wasn't me.
