The current headline on CNN.com's front page is
"O'Neill says comments on war plans distorted". It looks like O'Neill is doing damage control for the White House:
"Actually, there was a continuation of work that had been going on in the Clinton administration with the notion that there needed to be regime change in Iraq."
So even O'Neill is now towing the line. Do you guys think the press will spin this to help kill the story's momentum? Or are they going to hang on awhile longer and make a run with it?
I'm worried that this is going to blow over and a lot of Americans are simply going to label this a case of sour grapes and exaggeration. What do you guys think?
