Boy, this is going to be some campaign year. The NY Times front page has an
article on how Gen. Clark has "changed hist style" and has changed his suit in for wearing argyle sweaters to appeal to women. Remind you of how another Presidential candidate was covered?
My favorite quote from the article:
On Thursday the Republican National Committee also weighed in, distributing two attacks on General Clark to reporters. One, titled "Making Sense of Clark's Conspiracy Theories Is No Easy Feat," recites some of the general's accusations against the Bush administration.
A second, "Question of the Day: Who Is Wesley Clark?," accuses General Clark of dissembling about whether he had supported Mr. Bush in the past and of flip-flopping on whether he would use a "litmus test" on abortion in judicial nominations.
So now even the Times is a mouthpiece for the RNC? Wasn't the Murdoch empire enough? When do you think the last time the Democratic National Committee's attacks on Bush were reported in the Times? I did a search and the only times the DNC even showed up were in discussing attacks made by Democrats against Democrats. I'd love for someone out there with access to Nexis to see if they the Times has reported anything comparable, where DNC attacks on Bush were dutifully reported in the paper.
