I've been a Dean supporter and campaigned for him in NH. Now that he is out I've been trying to figure out what to do when my primary comes around on March 2nd. Unlike others I do see a difference between Kerry and Edwards.
However those difference seem to balance each other out. On one side Kerry is more establishment while Edwards is more populist. On the other hand Edwards is more moderate while Kerry is more liberal. So previously I'd been considering just voting undecided on the eventual nominee and go ahead and vote Dean or maybe even Kuchinich to give them some delegates for the convention.
Now I see Nadar has decided to run as an independent. This oddly enough help me make up my mind. Now I'm definately going to vote Kerry!
When it comes push comes to shove I'll choose substance over form. So Kerry's liberal record is more important than Edward's populist style. Kerry also having not taken matching funds is in a better place to be able to compete in the money game with the GOP. But finally and most importantly Kerry is the most likely nominee at this point it is important that we all rally around him sooner rather than later.
Nadar needs to be irrelevant. And rallying arond our nominee is the best way to ignore him!
