These are three states won by Gore in 2000 that Kerry needs to focus on, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa.
Iowa is a perplexing state. It's a dovish state that has a Democratic Senator and a Democratic Governor, but Bush leads in the polls. Gore barely eked out a victory here in 2000.
Bush leads in Wisconsin, proud home to fiery liberals like Robert Lafollette and now home to tow Democratic Senators and a Democratic Governor. Gore won by 0.22%.
Michigan, home to the worst joblosses in America, a popular Democratic Governor and a booming anti-Bush Arab population is too close to call.
Rove Trap: If Kerry wins Ohio and New Hampshire and loses Iowa and Wisonsin, Bush wins 274-264.
Good News: Kerry campaign is spending millions on TV, radio and print ads. ACT, Move On, and others are working the GOTV magic for Kerry. Polls show Kerry leading in Ohio and Florida on the brink off going to Kerry. On November 3rd, Kerry will have these three states and Ohio to thank for his victory.
