I agree with KOS that Dean just finishing second in NH is enough at this point... Kerry is toast in the long term, and I'll tell you why:
- Feel free to correct me if I am wrong on this, but in the seven primaries held on Feb 3, Kerry polls no higher than third in ANY of them.. In all seven, Dean or Clark leads with the other close behind.. Look out for Dean winning 3-5 of these states, and a big fat donut being laid on Kerry...
- Kerry has NO cash in the kitty after NH, and he can only rely on free media for so much, and he will only get so much of a boost from winning NH.. Conversely, Dean is STILL raking in far more cash than anyone else, and getting a spectacular amount of free media (say what you will about the "rebel yell," but everyone is talking about Dean right now.. after the good spin day on Thurs, this could turn out to be an unintentional coup)
- With each speech, Kerry looks more and more like Al Gore (Windows 2000 Edition).. He has a palpable lack of charisma, and it wont help in November that he was Michael Dukakis's Lt. Gov...
here's two more, maybe only applying to me:
- He tries to bake some delicious verbal pretzels, but he can NEVER live down that pro-war vote in my book..
- I just found out today that Kerry was in Skull and Bones at Yale.. WTF???? Great company he has there.. The Bush Dynasty, Mr. Burns.. yuk.
