So the RNSC wants to make hay about Harry Reid and alleged Abramoff-directed dollars from Indian tribes:

In my opinion, here's what Harry should do.
He should call a press conference, lay out the donations he received (which now are, of course, already known) and any actions he has taken related to Indian tribes. I would hope that one can't look at these lists and see anything that even smacks of quid pro quo. If so, he's a two-bit freakin' hypocrite who should be voted out. But I'll give Harry the benefit of the doubt and expect that it would show nothing of the sort.
Then he can say: "Even though these are legal donations that have aboslutely nothing to do with the corruption scandal involving Jack Abramoff and many Republican members of Congress, I'll return them if the RNSC will demand that the White House turn over all of the information it has on meetings between Abramoff clients, Abramoff himself, and senior level Administration staff. If the RNSC is really concerned about corruption or even the appearance of corruption in Congress and the Executive Branch, then this is a deal I'm more than willing to make."
If Reid can call their bluff, then he should and prove the point yet again that this is a Republican scandal and the Republicans in Congress are not up to the job of oversight or leadership.
