Fantasy Administration

Ok, with all the fantasy drafts in baseball, football, basketball, etc, I couldn't help but apply this mindset to our political process. Given the dreadful state of affairs and the stark need for drastic change, I cannot help but daydream about an "All-Star" team.
So, without further ado, if I had the opportunity to "draft" my own "team", here's what it would be. If you're interested, and have a few minutes to kill just for the hell of it, follow me below the fold.
President - Barack Obama
Obama provides the visionary leadership and big-picture thinking to be a true "change agent." His progressive views and understanding of world sentiment are exactly what America (and the world) needs after 8 years of Bu$hCo's dismantling of our infrastructure and standing in the world.
Vice President - Wesley Clark
Clark provides toughness, experience, and know-how on some of the most difficult issues facing the next administration: Iraq, military, foreign relations. He also helps make in-roads in the South.
Secretary of State - Bill Richardson
Richardson's respect around the world and experience in diplomacy will be a welcome respite from Collin "Uranium" Powell, Condi Rice, Josh Bolton, etc.
Secretary of Defense - Joe Biden
Biden's experience on the Foreign Relations Committee will help us focus our strategic resources in Afghanistan and around the world. Biden's no-nonsense, realistic approach will help re-build the US military.
Attorney General - John Edwards
Edwards, himself an extremely strong candidate for POTUS, would fit perfectly in the role of AG. What position would be better to actually act upon his "two Americas" theme and his commitment to taking power away from the elite special interests? Instead of illegal wiretaps and political firings, we would finally have a renewed commitment to holding white collar criminals accountable for their conduct.
Secretary of the Interior - Al Gore
Ok, now stick with me here. Who better to head up this important agency as our nation - our planet - faces extinction? Long shot, yes. But the thing that makes me even conjure this scenario, even in 'fantasy', is the fact that Al Gore would be able to completely bypass the political process which he seems to loathe so much and actually focus on policy change. Can you imagine?
So there it is. I can only sigh in the sad realization this cannot (will not) happen. Just felt like getting it out there anyway. :)
