July 4th Los Angeles Impeachment Center Inauguration

Hi, this is just a short informational diary, particularly for those in the L.A. area this July 4th

I just found about thisa fews days ago, but wanted to post it so others interested can attend if in the area. The Los Angeles Impeachment Center will have its inauguration July 4th 2007 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m
Speakers include Maxine Waters, Paul Koretz, Byron De Lear (Ran against Howard Berman in 2006, and may do so in the Democratic primary in 2008), Anthony St. Martin, Larry Everest, Shakeel Syed (Executive Director of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California). Possible speakers/invitees include: Medea Benjamin, Abbe Land, and Jackie Goldberg.
"Leaders of the Westside Greens, the Progressive Democrats of Los Angeles, and the Santa Monica Democratic Club will officially inaugurate an impeachment center to be followed by speakers who will address strategies and ideas relating to the impeachment of George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney. The Impeachment Center will have phonebanking, letterwriting and other Impeachment related resources available for distribution. Lawn signs, bumper stickers and other literature will be made available to all who attend. "
Address:
8124 W. Third Street (at the "Peace Center" located by Crescent Heights & 3rd Street) ; 11 am inauguration will be immediately followed by picnic at nearby La Cienega Park from 12-3 pm.
The center will then be active every Saturday after launch on Wednesday, July 4th, 2007 till May 1, 2008. 2 pm to 6 pm
I don't know if it will devolve into something else (Re: A.N.S.W.E.R., 9/11 Truth Out types, etc...), as these rally type events often do, but I am ever hopeful!
