The Drudge Report is now reporting ...
"FLASH: Reporter Judy Miller telling friends will be back at NEW YORK TIMES on Monday... Developing..."
Now is the time to tell the Times exactly how you feel about the return of Judy Miller. They need to be warned that her return to the paper in any capacity will greatly hurt their relationship with many readers, and in turn damage their revenues.
The New York Times needs to cut their losses with Judy Miller and move on. Her highly incompetent reporting on non-existent WMD, her now public strange relationship with high ranking members of the administration including the indicted Scooter Libby, and her willingness to serve as an arm of the Bush propaganda machine to build the case for Iraq, all make her unfit to be a news reporter with any shred of integrity.
Read my letter below ...
"Dear editors,
My wife and I have been wanting to subscribe to the New York Times now that delivery is finally being offered in my neighborhood. But to be blunt -- if Judy Miller is allowed back to the Times in any capacity, as is being reported on Drudge, we will no longer be considering a subscription. Her reporting on WMD was crap, totally false, and she was simply over-willing to be used as a vessel for the White House's overtly misleading propaganda campaign to justify the invasion of Iraq.
I know many people who feel exactly the same way. Until you are rid of Judy Miller, you simply hold little credibility on issues of national and global importance. Inviting her back is not the way to rebuild trust with your readers."
