Not really GBCW, but...

I've learned a great deal from DKos and I've really valued a lot in my experience here.  I don't want just to fade away, but I now have a lot less time to track diaries and comments.  And I think that taking up time and space here really should be met by some commitment to keep abreast of the site.  I do plan to pop in once in a while, especially for some of the stellar series that people have going, and to keep up a little bit with the world-changing events here, but I can't do much.

I'm not finding the world cruel at all, however.

In fact, I've been asked to join the administration of another blog, one that's pretty new but has already won a significant prize.  The focus is one that's very important to me, so the offer was really irresistable.

Please excuse me for not sharing the url with you.  Just about all the reactions here to anything are mixed, and I think it is better not to carry that with me.

  ...I've enjoyed your comments and observations in the relatively short time I've been here.  I'm sorry to not know where you're going, but I presume you know these sorts of histories better than I do.  

  For myself -- for better or worse -- this is a big, chaotic learning experience, so I don't feel particularly obligated to keep abreast.  People come and go, like a town square.
