If she runs for dog catcher, I will vote for Hillary

Among the comments in one of the Hillary Clinton diaries was a statement to the effect that the commenter "wouldn't vote for Hillary Clinton if she were running for dog catcher."

To those who support that notion, I have this to say: what the fuck?

Since when did Clinton become as bad as a Cruella DeVille or a Michael Vick?

Look, there are many reasons not to like Senator Clinton - many recent diaries have covered them extensively. That being said, if she does run for dog catcher, I will vote for her. No question about it.

I may not give her a dime from my wallet. I probably won't bother spending a minute of my time volunteering towards her candidacy.

But I sure as hell won't waste my vote and help elect a Republican to any office, even dog catcher.

I've been saying for years that I wouldn't vote for a Republican for dog catcher.

And neither should the rest of you.

  it is strange.

  BUT...

  I had an almost visceral dislike for Bush II when he was running and I've developed a similar reaction to HRC.

  It's that reaction that people are having to overcome.  It isn't reasoned.  It may not even be reasonable.

  BUT...

  That's the way I feel.  

  It has nothing to do with her accomplishments or intelligence or her vote on the war.

  It just is.
