Stupidity Fatigue-JON CARROLL nails it again

Fri Aug 31, 2007 at 01:03:12 AM PDT

If you do not read him you realy should. Not only is he a lefty, a gradfather and a terminal cat lover (pooties!) he can be a really passionate writer. I read him piece tonight and it struck a chord in me. I will quote 3 paragraphs below the fold that seem to express some of my feelings today. please share the love to Mr Carroll, he can't be all bad if he likes cats!

After the FISA deal (hear that sound? that's Gonzo lighting a match to use on the Constitution again) and the taking off the table things they have no right to remove, I got so deressed with Reid once more rolling over for the PNAC party. In any case here is what I see myself going through today;

But all was not copacetic, even there. Three people told me, in the nicest possible way, that while they agreed with the many critical things I had said about the Bush administration, prolonged repetition of that kind of negative rhetoric was not useful.

In other words: We've had enough schadenfreude in the past year. We have seen the mighty fall, or at least resign. We have grasped the nature of the idiocy. What the hell do we do about it? Where do we go from here? You gotta plan, big boy?

I had been toying with the same idea. You've heard of compassion fatigue? I think we have stupidity fatigue. Yet one more administration hack does one more laughably inept or corrupt thing - at first you get mad, and then you want to get beyond the mad. The problems will be there long after the hacks have left town. Yes! Positive thinking! Solutions! And then some fresh outrage comes along, and it's just too awful not to write about - and so it goes.
