What Does It Cost To Promote The Liberal Agenda?

Mon Sep 17, 2007 at 09:56:56 AM PDT

This is definitely a rant, so if the prospect of hearing me bitch doesn't seem particularly interesting to you, please choose something else to peruse and save me the guilt of feeling that I've wasted your time.

I am possibly the most liberal person that you could ever hope to meet. Seriously.
I have no qualms with whatever you choose to do or say, as long as no one gets hurt.

If you are a mixed race same sex couple that adopts minority children and brings them up under the practices of Wicca, I think thats just great.

If you are a heroin shooting atheist that refuses to pay his taxes, I say good for you.

Gay marriage? While my opinion is definitely biased on this one, I say of course. How dare you attempt to regulate my private life you motherfuckers!?

Drugs? Legalize them.
Social programs? Expand them.
Death penalty? Abolish it.
George Bush? IMPEACH HIM!

I know it sounds like I'm blowing my own horn(I used to be able to do just that, but either I'm not as limber or my torso grew out of it), but I really do love everybody and wish them well in whatever they choose to do.

It's just who I am.

What could possibly be bothering someone who has so much love to give you ask?

My keyboard would catch on fire and disintegrate if I were to attempt and put everything in here. I know that there are bigger problems in the world yaddah yaddah yaddah, but this is really pissing me off so I just have to share it.

Here it is.

http://www.buzzflash.com/

It is only my opinion and I have no facts to back it up (other than what appears to be there in black and white), but I feel like this guy is getting rich on the backs of liberals.

I mean, how much money does it take to produce this basic layout with so many spelling and grammatical errors?

Does anyone know? Is thirty five thousand dollars a month, just in so called "donations", not counting what is sold at twice the amount you can get it anywhere else during those times that there isn't a fund drive. Which is most of any given month.

I sent email questioning the amount of money that seemed to be made under the auspices of fund drives a few months ago. I attempted to ask in a very nice way where exactly all this money was going, and suggested that they provide an accounting of all expenses so that everyone could see what their generosity was purchasing.

How do you think that went over?

Well, apparently I'm a Rush Limbaugh parasite with no idea of what it costs so that Buzzflash may fight for my freedom, and I should just go away, but not before I should sodomize myself of course.

After some more friendly email exchanges, we basically agreed to disagree and went our separate ways. I figured there were more pressing things to be pissed off about, and was glad at least that I could see he is still thinking about me.

You may notice if you follow the above link, that in the plea for funds to save democracy, they make the effort to say:

YOU Make Buzzflash the force that it is with your progressive premium purchase or donation(Not Tax Deductible). We have a payroll to meet and bills to pay. No corporate jets just our own two feet.

I know that's for me Mark. It doesn't make me happy though, it just makes me wish that the IRS would crawl inside you with a magnifying glass.

As I was saying above, I want everybody to be happy and successful in whatever it is that they do. Republicans excluded of course, because they don't want everybody to be happy and would rather kill for profit.

Also excluded are those that play on the emotions of the disenfranchised to enrich themselves.

Am I wrong?

It wouldn't be the first time, and it certainly won't be the last, but this is what is going through my head this morning.

Thanks for listening to me bitch. If you have any opinions on this matter, please let me know in the comments.

I've purchased books through them before, and I have enjoyed reading them.

I think I'm pretty clear with what my problem with them is.

            What is your agenda?

Are they your buddies or something?

Tell me why I'm wrong then, and cool it on the baiting questions.

"Are they your buddies or something?"
Not that I know of .

"Tell me why I'm wrong then"
I did not say you were wrong .

Your thinking that you are "pretty clear" , does not make it so .

                I just wanted you to.

You seem to suggest here that my wish that you would get to your point, is somehow contrary to what I purport to be my way of thinking.

I don't see the correlation, but like I say I am open to others opinions.

As far as your inability to understand my position, I'll try once more especially for you.

I think it's complete bullshit to have a fund drive every month for what you claim is an extreme amount of overhead on the most basic website design, and saying you need the money to continue fighting for the freedoms of all americans.

                That's all.

Just ranting like the tag says.

Or else it's got to go down the same shitter with Larry Craig, and conservative economics.

Not saying where the money goes is one thing.  But slamming the doors and pulling the blinds when someone ... just ... asks ... is bullshit.

    •  I really was nice too (0+ / 0-)

      Advertising popups don't bother me.
I can turn them off here, but don't.
