Nader for Kucinich?

Tue Sep 25, 2007 at 03:21:53 PM PDT

Political Wire has this little tidbit.

I know, I know, 'Nader running again' are probably the three worst possible words for Democrats in the 2008 race, but take a closer look.  The very brief story references Craigslist ads for hiring political operatives in December/January in Iowa and New Hampshire, under the heading 'Ralph Nader Democratic Caucus Campaign Draft Committee.' for the Iowa ad (the New Hampshire ad has been cancelled, maybe because he doesn't want to show his hand.

If he were running an independent bid, he wouldn't be hiring in Iowa and New Hampshire for the one month period right before the caucuses and primaries.  However, if he wanted to have an influence in the Democratic race, by say hiring a bunch of campaign workers to help one candidate (Kucinich, I presume), or hinder one (Hillary), this hiring makes more sense.  I'm no expert on the Iowa caucuses, but Kucinich did suprisingly well there last time around, which was one of the reasons that he was able to hang on as long as he did in 2004, picking up some delegates here and there.

The Iowa as says Committee formation consideration in progres. Non Connected-pac at the bottom.  Non Connected to whom is the question.

P.S. - In the interest of full disclosure, I just dropped two bits in the Kucinich end of quarter coffers.
