Finally! The day has arrived. The God Damn Iowa Caucuses are finally here! After tonight, since these things are set up to basically nominate whoever wins Iowa, it is my sincere hope that Daily Kos' user base can finally stop sucking so much...because we'll have our damn nominee.
I don't like any of the candidates. As a matter of fact, I hate them all. They're all a bunch of douche nozzled, dingle berried DLC lying sacks of month old crap and I want nothing to do with any of them because they're all bad for America and will gladly sell the Democratic base out in a heartbeat if it means going from 54% to 55% in the polls.
But they rest of you! OH! Oh my God! You all suck! Well, most of you do, at least. I've mostly stopped visiting here except maybe 1 or 2 times a week because it's constantly a stream of shit brained, cult worshiping candidate fellatio (or cunnilingus, in...well, really more than one case). I mean, if I see one more "Edward Evening News: John is SOOO Perfect edition" or "Why Barack Is The Reincarnation of Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha or "Why Hillary's Dick Is Bigger Than Your Candidates Dick" diary I'm going to...do something. Probably unpleasant and personally embarrassing. I haven't quite decided what yet, though.
The point is, my more-or-less-former fellow Kossaks, is that I used to come to this site because everyone here was remarkably adept as sussing out the truth or, at the very least, digging up truths that the rest of the news media chose to ignore for the sake of 'balance'.
But now? Apparently the "truth" to a lot of you is that Obama is a liar because he said he wanted to be President when he was 5. (replace that line with a smear re: Your Candidate of Choice, if you like). I expected better of this site. I knew places like Democratic Underground were going to be a clusterfuck of venom and bile...but DK's users always seemed a little bit more...intellectual. Seems ol' samfish was wrong!
I miss the days where y'all were doing some bomb-ass work digging up stories on Valerie Plame and whatever the Hell evil deed Haliburton was doing this week in Iraq.
I don't care who the Democratic nominee is. I'm not going to like them anyway. Shit, I might not even end up voting for them, if I'm not motivated enough.
I do, however, hope that this site can get back to business of being a better gatekeeper of truths after today, rather than the perpetuater of Democratic smears that it's become over the last 7 or 8 months.
