But...
Those who support one candidate, or another, are now trying to induce guilt in the Progressive Community if we don't climb aboard their bandwagon.
If you don't vote for Hillary Clinton you harbor secret thoughts of the "weakness" of women to hold the role of President.
If you don't vote for Barak Obama you are really a closet racist.
I'm not buying.
There are a host of sane and rational reasons upon which a preference for one candidate or another can be based.
I'm not having a teenage crush if I support Obama.
I'm not following the rules of the feminist cant if I support Hillary.
I am neither for, or against, ANY candidate based on the narrow definations of who they are perceived to be, either by fellow Kossacks, or the Talking Heads, desparately trying to find a reason for their total lack of control of the message.
This is NOT about race, or gender, or any other demographic pre-condition. This is not about social upheavel, or adhering to the prescriptions of one groups ethos, over that of another.
I will choose my candidate based on a careful exploration of their proposed policies, their ability to speak in coherent terms about those policies, and my sense that they understand the dynamic between using the Office of the President to serve critical international needs we are not aware of, while remaining true to the issues of real concern to us.
So, stop with the labeling!! Stop trying to make this an election about narrow social traits that will not effect the decisions made once Inaugration Day is past.
This is not about race and gender. And I will not accept your attempts to label my decision in that narrow way.
