As a 63 yr old white woman, I want to see Barrack win. This would automatically elevate the U.S. image in the eyes of the world. His charm, intelligence, good judgement, (until I heard he voted for the Patriot Act), and youth, were all the qualities I wanted to see in the next President.
Then he said it.
Barrack invoked the losing words
As a 63 yr old white woman, I want to see Barrack win. This would automatically elevate the U.S. image in the eyes of the world. His charm, intelligence, good judgement, (until I heard he voted for the Patriot Act), and youth, were all the qualities I wanted to see in the next President.
Then he said it. Was he speaking to the people of South Carolina though a New Hampshire audience. The man is ½ white. We were ignoring the other ½ . Then he brought it up by saying, ".......people who look like me," referring to his blackness.
Heaven help us. The conspiracy theorists have said the black man is going to rise up and crush the white man. If not that fearful, small group, what about the others that heard, "I am black. Make me your President and there will be a "free lunch" for all blacks, better welfare, better public housing....."
That line, "people who look like me", should have been saved for the inaugural address.
I still support Barrack but feel I deserve an explanation for his vote on the Patriot Act, discarding my personal rights. It should go like this, "I can’t explain to you why Hillary voted for the Patriot Act, but let me tell you what I was thinking."
And save the black proclamations for after the Presidential election.
