I'm undecided, and I'm just as apt to vote third party or even Republican if I believed they were for an equitable and efficient America.
But unfortunately, the Republicans are now the party of those who want to conserve old money, not create new money (what my people call 'Progress'). To create money you need infrastructure: good roads, educated workers, law enforcement/market regulation. A quality government requires tribute from those from those who earn money.
Once their fortune is created, most "Conservatives" don't want to pay for future "Progressives" to make money using the infrastructure that enabled their success. They just want to hang on to their money by not paying for an educated work force that they won't hire, and not repairing roads that will serve them for a while longer. They don't pay for the future generation's success, although the prior one paid for theirs.
The founders of the big companies, while often Republican, recognized the value of good government and investing in our community. Their heirs are the ones that rarely inherit an ability to create money, and try to conserve that which they were given.
I'm undecided, and though I'm registered Democrat, I'm just as apt to vote third party or even Republican if I believed they were for an equitable and efficient America.

To create money you need infrastructure: good roads, educated workers, law enforcement/financial market enforcement, and all the stuff that require good government and taxes.

Their heirs are the ones that have no ability to create money, and must conserve that which they own, by avoiding taxes and having the business cut costs and take advantage of weakly enforced laws.
Some big businesses like Costco, where the founder still is alive, pay better wages and benefits than their competitors like Wal-Mart(Sam's Club) where the founder is dead. Costco vs Wal-Mart Sam Walton had little interest in politics. He often contributed to both sides in elections in case he would need a favor. But his heirs to the throne have gotten very "conservative" and give primarily to the GOP.
I would vote Republican if I thought they would enable a new Sam Walton, but they only care about keeping their base happy. And that means stopping progress and conserving their money, instead of letting us create future success.
