Impeachment is of course off the table in Congress, and in the Media. But reading through the comments in Buddydharma's diary about Wexler, I came across an inspiring comment by bustacap showing how each and every one of us, every one of our children, can add our voices creatively to the debate.
Here it is
I immediately took every piece of currency in my wallet, and wrote the words "impeach" in a cartoon balloon coming out of the mouths of Washington, Lincoln, Hamilton and Jackson(though I suspect that Jackson might not agree), with simple messages on the back, making it clear that Cheney and Bush are to be the targets of this message.
Some of us can't or won't call our representatives to urge this, and quite honestly, most of our elected leaders care more about getting re-elected than they do about the Constitution or the rule of law. But if all of us do this, at least the discussion will be constant in the populace. Every person who gets a bill like this will potentially discuss impeachment and the conduct of President Bush and Vice President Cheney. And who knows, if enough people start talking about impeachment, maybe the topic can get put back on the table.
Go Bucks!
