Bush is talking about the need for an economic stimulus package -- lickety split and shoeshine Charlie.
Below the fold I'll do a quick and dirty analysis of how much (at most) that'll give you and then ask you a poll question about it.
Experts say that, to make a difference, economic stimuli must total 1% of GDP or roughly $145 billion. If you divide that amount by 300 million Americans, it yields a $483 per person tax rebate for each and every man woman and child. Or, rounding off, a family of four would get $2000.
I know it won't amount to that much; never mind. Let's say, in the best of all possible worlds, that it did.
What would you spend your money on?
