The raw numbers look like 51-45 Clinton. Both sides are bleating like crazy that they won the delegate count. But above the morass of statistics is a number that (if true) points to what has become a trend in this primary season.
Rachel Maddow just announced on MSNBC that 114,000 folks participated in the Democratic caucuses today in Nevada.
The most recent numbers from CNN tell us that around 43,000 Republicans came for today's caucus in Nevada.
114,000 to 43,000.
So...for those of you scoring at home:
IOWA: 236,000 Democrats and 119,000 Republicans
NEW HAMPSHIRE: 284,000 Democrats and 233,000 Republicans
MICHIGAN: 593,000 Democrats and 867,000 Republicans (NOTE: Republicans had a primary with delegates at stake. Democrats did not)
NEVADA: 114,000 Democrats and 43,000 Republicans.
I beseech my fellow Kossacks: TO HELL with who got 13 delegates in Nevada and who got 12. THESE ARE THE NUMBERS THAT MATTER. We have a tremendous opportunity to sweep the nation this year.
ALL THE ENERGY IS ON OUR SIDE.
Try to keep that energy positive (YES, that means all of us)....
UPDATE: Another "wow" moment in this campaign. MSNBC has just reported that Duncan Hunter is dropping his bid for the White House.
Yes, I AM kidding about it being a "wow" moment....
