OK. There are other polls asking who won the debate, but did any of the candidates win over anyone?
I personally thought that Edwards had the best performance tonight. Obama did a decent job of defending himself from attacks but he also stammered and rambled on too much. I personally don't care for Hillary because I think the DLC has twisted and distorted the true meaning of being a Democrat so I'm not in a good position to objectively rate her debate performance.
All the same, I think most people have pretty much made up their minds about who they're supporting and I suspect very few people will change their minds now.
I voted for Obama because Edwards simply didn't do what it took to be viable here in Nevada. (At my caucus, we had 46 voters and only two initially supported Edwards; both ended up switching to Obama.)
To me, the sad thing is that Edwards could have been very viable had he spent just a bit more time and money here. I know his campaign doesn't have the money that Clinton and Obama do but Nevada was a very winnable state where he would have gotten good bang for his bucks.
I will say this much, it was an entertaining debate if nothing else.
I do wish to apologize for the rambling nature of this diary. I'm going through one of those moments where disillusionment with the state of the country, the world and even the Democratic Party is really burning at me.
