While I've defended Hillary -
as a viable candidate better than any NeoCON Republican & certainly smarter, she's right there with Gravel as being the least of the choices on the liberal/progressive side we've had.
Tasmanian Tigers have been reported in Tasmania as well, but they never materialize as real either.
Tenacious she IS. If any woman can break through it will be Hillary. Should we expect Hillary to be anything more tenacious & visionary than Republican Lite?
Don't we deserve better than Republicans or Republican Lite in these trying times?
Playacting to con the base has been the winning game on the right.
Making up new words.
It doesn't look pretty on Hillary to pretend:
She has learned from McCain who's remade himself at the drop of a hat to be whatever anyone will vote for, now that she's got real competition.
She's learned from a creature destined as a villian for a future Batman Film. The Chameleon Man: Romney.
We know from Kerry expecting us to be smarter & proven wrong sitting back is not a good tactic. But is attacking your own?
Leave the fakes to McCain, Hucklebee & Romney & Rudy!!!

It is my contention that we must find some spine & need to decide what America is in this century.
The NeoCONs have their own little megalomaniacal vision as we all known from the "PNAC" document. But throw that cult out! Those people are pretenders & horrid creatures.
What is the American Vision?
We need to decide whether America is a "has-been" that never lived up to the promise, ideals & hype, or whether there is more fire in the bellyto complete the vision of a colorblind society where character triumphs.
Can we rekindle the brilliance of the framers who were, after all visionaries & idealists full of hope?
In that vein, why do we rarely seem to elect the most deserving candidates - and always for twisted reasons? Are we so fickle? Are we so whiney?
Screaming for a change - but only a change of NeoCON diapers?
I concede at the outset that Hillary will enact a few liberal programs, or fix the one's Bush F'd up. Lord knows he's messed up the country royally. Lord knows we cannot be great again with all the sleeper agents embedded all these 7 plus years into federal agencies with the tacit intent to destroy them!
Hillary to me, isn't a top choice.
She is head & shoulders above ANY of the largely apologist right, the Republicans & NeoCON pretenders.
Although that is settling for something else when we could have had a V-8!
Playacting to persuade the left should not be in our toolkit.
Hillary is beginning to DISSUADE me while I think of Tigers & spots. Don't get me wrong: If she's there at the end, I WILL vote for Hillary.
Bill Clinton without the economics degree is Republican Lite. We can't suffer the Lite-weights any more. So let's shoot for the BEST in the caucuses! Edwards-Obama or Obama-Edwards either way soumds refreshing.
Bush has jammed a crowbar into the spokes & this vehicle won't ride the same again until we get a mechanic to build us a new wheel.
The whacked-out right appears to be all about End of Times before the decade is through & getting their affairs in order for the Big Checkout.
Why then shouldn't all the rational people who plan on seeng tomorrow & having their children LIVE out their lives, instead of trying on sporty funeral wear for the Apocalypse be ready now for substantive change?
We are at the bank of a Rubicon?
What has my hackles up about Hillary is that she is too calculating against her own side. When she was ahead, she was "above the fray" as far as attacking others & name-calling. Not so, when threatened.
Now she's adopting the Charile Brown "why's everybody always a-pickin' on me" or Right Wing "Christian victim" stance of the NeoCONs. We don't need to give credence to the whiney & lazy people who do not pay attention to politics, claim "they are all the same" to justify their comforting uninvolvement.
All the while attacking Obama with subterfuge. What happens when her tactics are spent? That'll be for the General, when all the SwiftBoats hit the fan, but will the Nation Sack be empty?
A PR battle.
Maybe we need to get fully upright after leaning so far back as to fall over backward - before we can lean forward into the wind & make real progress. That should concern any last vestiges of "Old Style Republicans" if any remain in the wild as well as Progressives. We should all be progressive together in this.
OBAMA-EDWARDS can get us there.
On the other hand, after a term or two of Hillary -
Or GOD HELP US! 4 more years of Republican disasters:
there will be ennui & sloth in the American public. It'll be another pendulum move to a intractable, authoritarian & hateful right - and another slide because that's the way people ARE.
SNAFU: "The change will surely NOT come."
