I'm just going to guess that most people here loath the media. Am I right?
So we can agree that the media we depend on to inform us, for just about everything, sucks.
I don't need to remind anyone here about the distorted and complicit roll the media played in driving this country to war. The same "liberal" media that trashed Gore and help give us the worst President in our history. Twice. That gave us the very angry "Dean scream". The media that spend more airtime on Britney Spears than covering a bloody, bankrupting seven year war.
So it is with this same distort, biased and sensationalizing infotainment that we use to make our points about our candidates. That should give everyone pause.
Did you know that according to cable news and their ilk that the Clinton's are very partisan? That they and they alone are responsible for all the partisanship of the nineties? I was surprised to hear that because I thought it was Newt Gingrich and his bunch that would do ANYTHING to win. They hounded the Clintons with investigations for eight straight years. Important investigations like their Christmas card list, or Vince Foster murder. George W Bush literary commits murder and .....investigations anyone?
I'm just saying that there is something really wrong going on here.
The media has given Bush a pass and now they want to pin political partisan ship on the Clintons. And fellow Democrats are lapping it up.
How successful has our Democratically controlled congress been? How partisan have the Republicans been. The most filibustering in history. But according to the media it's all the Clinton's fault.
Democrats better wake up to how the media is shaping this race or we're not going to win in November. We are being played like suckers, mouthing all the right wing spin.
And no, the answer is not to dump the Clintons. The fundamental problem will still be there. The media are no friend to Democrats.
To win we need to wrap this nomination up and unify the ticket.
Might I suggest Hillary/Obama '08
