When all is said and done tonight, over 800,000 people will have turned out in Florida and voted for Hillary. That's fairly amazing. I know for those to whom this isn't good news, there will be a story.."oh, its not REALLY an election. it doesn't matter at all. its meaningless. zero. nada. nothing"
But think about it for a second, Hillary turned out nearly a MILLION voters tonight, and she didn't even (or some might say barely) campaigned.
If absolutely nothing else, it shows a few things:

Hillary is going to do well in Florida in the general election. She has tremendous support there and thats only likely to build when she is the only Democrat in the race.
59% of the voters tonight were women. Now, perhaps some people can make a story that because this is a non-delegate state, this somehow depressed male turnout, but that is sort of weak. If 59% of the voters in feb5 states are women, its all over for obama. stick a fork in him he's done.
The largest % of voters in FL were over 60. Now, yes, Florida does trend a bit older and thats something to remember. But only 9% of the vote was under 30. One would imagine if obama was SUCH the amazing thing that ted kennedy said he was, that certainly, he could get more young voters energized enough to go out and vote for him. He's supposed to be sooooooooooooo inspiring right? Or does his inspiration really need a hard-core ground game and millions in ad spending before he can really turn out the vote?
Just some stuff to chew on. She's approaching 900,000 votes now. but not a damn one of those means anything...or does it?
