In another example of the hope for change sweeping our land, it was learned today that Ricky, the kid selling lemonade a couple of houses down, is endorsing Barack Obama in Tuesday's primary!
"My mom thinks he's cute," the young entrepreuner informed me when he spied the Obama flier I had just pulled out of my mailbox. "You want some lemonade?"
Ricky's endorsement is said to carry a lot of weight around the second grade schoolyard. When questioned, he demurred on the subject of his influence. "Some of the kids like me more than others," he proffered. "I don't like the girls, though. They're icky. Are you going to buy any lemonade, mister?"
