Since our 2006 website hosted the 50 State Site that tried to get every Republican held Congressional seat a challenger from the Democratic ticket, it is with great pride that I announce that Indiana Democrats are challenging in all districts. Indiana Sec. Of State. We came close to filling every seat nationally, last cycle, and Indiana is full again.
Yes, I am the 6th District Candidate for a second cycle, and yes I need your help in our effort, but this is not a fundraising diary, it is an information diary for election geeks, I myself am one. More below.
Thus far Mitt Romney is the only Presidential candidate to file to be on the Indiana ballot. See link above and scroll down to Republicans.
Registration is open until Feb 22 at noon, so there is time, but there are other notable names not yet on the registration list.
Mitch Daniels is on the Republican list, but neither of our great Democratic Candidates for Governor have filed.
The Honorable Congressman Baron Hill is not on the list yet, but three challengers are.
Three Democrats are challenging for the 7th, this is Julia Carson’s former district.
Mike Pence has not registered yet either, for the Republicans in the 6th. Some are whispering that he doesn’t want to be a minority member and wanted to move either up or out, and is checking what his options might be. I am not buying it, and expect his registration any day, and I expect to surprise him, and everyone else by winning this November, but that is for another diary.
District 3 Michael A. (Mike) Montagano 01/28/08
District 4 Nels Ackerson 01/23/08
District 5 Chester Kelsey
Are all running for the first time in their districts.
The Honorable Congressman Peter Visclosky is in District 1
The Honorable Congressman Joe Donnelly is in District 2
The Honorable Congressman Brad Ellsworth is in District 8
And Congressman Hill is in District 9
Count Indiana’s Districts full in the continuing effort to challenge the Republicans for every spot in every election.
I also want to say a special Good Luck
To all my friends running in contested primaries tomorrow. Let’s sweep Ladies and Gentlemen, EVERY SEAT COAST TO COAST!!!!
Thanks for reading and stopping by.
Now on to Super Tuesday.
