So you've been e-mailed a set of exit polls that look GREAT for your candidate and you can't wait to copy, paste and post, because what could be better to you and your fellow 'ites or 'istas or 'iacs then the news that your candidate is about to win Super Tuesday?
Well, please, for the sake of us all, shut your fucking pie hole...
...because you're being set up... being asked to carry water for the other side... being asked to raise expectations for your candidate and then, when those expectations are not met, what should have been a victory can get spun as "ho-hum" or "see you were fooled" or much, much worse, as "a loss".
Have we gotten so NOW, NOW, NOW that we can't wait the extra 6 minutes to find out what happened in Georgia? Have we gotten to the point that even in this age of microwave baked potatoes and internet news we still need to stand in front of the appliances of mass convenience and scream HURRY, FASTER, I CAN'T STAND IT?
Have we already forgot the 2004 where Kerry (who was against it before he was for it) WON it long before he lost it.
And 2000 where they called it for Gore, which meant he won it, but then he lost it, though we all know he still had WON it?
You want jaded voters?
You want people to not trust elections?
You want to instill the sense that the outcome is predetermined?
Then release a set of numbers NOW that will prove wrong in TWO hours.
We here are CONSTANTLY asking our elected official to level with us... to operate government in the sunshine... but then at the first opportunity we are willing to put forth as fact (with disingenuous comments about grains of salt) numbers that were sent to you over the same internet that you learned that Barack Obama is a muslim zealot and Hillary Clinton has cut a deal to appoint Rush Limbaugh to the Supreme Court.
Please... for five more hours...
