So Hillary supporters, and the Clinton campaign itself, are claiming that they've raised... well, some number of millions of dollars in online donations in the last few days.
Others... have doubts. (I take the word "claims" as expressing a certain skepticism... check the comments also.)
Now my feeling is that just as Kossackswere a significant part of the Obama money bomb... Hillary can't have received such a big online donation total without a big infusion from those among us who support her.
So I'm curious to see if Hillary supporters here have ponied up a significant amount. Let's do it this way: the Hillary campaign is claiming to have raised $4 million online since Super Tuesday. So, Hillary supporters... how much have you donated in that time?
UPDATE: There is indeed a contradiction.
HillaryClinton.com press release dated Feb 7:
The Clinton campaign today announced that it raised more than $4 million online in the day after polls closed on Super Tuesday.
McAuliffe paraphrased on Politico, dated Feb. 7:
Terry McAuliffe told donors and reporters on a conference call that the campaign has raised $7.5 million online this month, more than $6 million of it in the last 24 hours.
UPDATE: Well, with the diary getting close to scrolling off and votes tailing off -- at 6:21 pm EST I get 200 pie votes, but also $28,355. Not too bad, actually, when this was not on the rec list. I have to admit, though, the higher number of votes for $2,300 makes me suspicious. Even not counting the miscreant who admitted speciously clicking there, it's eight, making up about 2/3 of the total. Anyone's nose feeling a little wee bit longer?
