Just because we're having a heated primary fight does not mean we need to damage our community. Both sides need to get over their candidate and realize that the other one won't destroy the party/country. Either of these people can rescue the Supreme Court. You get the idea.
Obama supporters,
Barack Obama is not going to carry Nebraska in the general election, and don't call me a cynic for saying so. I have hope that either of our candidates will win and greatly improve this country. When caught in Obama fever, keep in mind the immense amount of work it will be to enact these changes, I know those of us on dkos are aware of this, but many others are not. Setting expectations too high does not help our cause. I know a lot of you know this, but I think its safe to repeat it because many political newcomers in the Obama movement are going to waver in the first year of an Obama presidency.
It's a silly media meme, but the personality cult discussion does have a kernel of truth to it--resist the personality cult.
Hillary supporters,
Stop this nonsense McCain talk. Stop deriding Obama supporters by saying their movement is negated by Obama engaging in rough politics. An Obama supporter is more likely to have never been involved in politics and more likely to stay jaded if he doesn't win the nomination, and they might just stay home. That's reality. Instead of crybaby running to McCain, think of how Hillary will need your help to win these newcomers over. Hillary supporters are more likely to be political veterans, so act like it. If she wins the nomination Obama's movement will be her biggest asset.
