I was an Edwards supporter who now reluctantly supports Hillary (already voted in NY -Please try not to attack just yet.)
There may come a time when I would have to support Obama, but I'm not sold. I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping to get answered from Obama supporters.
- Let's say, as the Obama campaign seems to think, Hillary wins OH, PA and TX. She might be slightly behind in delegates but would likely have more popular votes. Why would the candidate who lost the CA, FL, MI, NJ, OH, PA, TX primaries be the better choice in the general election? (I know that FL and MI are up for discussion and I could probably buy discounting MI because not everyone was named on the ballot, but I think the general question still holds.)
- Many white men who voted for Edwards are now voting for Obama. While there are plenty of progressives in that mix, some of it may be more of an anti-Hillary vote rather than a pro-Obama vote. For those who are anti-Hillary rather than progressive switchers, how many do you think would stick with Obama rather than vote for McCain?
