I know fat Tim Russert's dad might be upset, I know that an obese draft dodger with umpteen ex-wives (and no children) might be upset and I know that some shrill broad promised the GOOPER wingnuts that we would convert Islamic leaders to Christianity. Alas, the truth is that George W. Bush, who so bravely served in Texas, and who cowered in a bunker on the night of 9/11, caved in to Osama bin Laden's key demand in 2003.
If there is one reason why the US hasn't been attacked since 9/11 (please spare me the Antrhrax diatrabes), it is becuase the GOP once again grovelled before the those who terrorized Americans.
In May 2003, Donald Rumsfeld announced that all US troope were leaving Saudi Arabia and that a key air force base was being transfered ot Qatar.
I know Mitt Romney doesn't know this, but the removal of troops from the Islamic holy land was the key demand of one Osama bin Laden (whose family was a business partner of you know who).
Next time you hear some GOP windbag prattle on and on about how 'we haven't been attacked since 9/11' -- please don't bring up anthrax, please don't bring up Larry Craig, please don't bring up the fact that Laura Bush killed her ex, please don't bring up Jeff Gannon -- simply say perhaps it has something to do with George W. Bush surrendering to the key demand of Osama bin Laden.
Alas for some reason, the fact that bin Laden demanded the withdrawal of US troops from Saudia Araba way back in 1990 and that the Bushies caved in 2003 is rarely mentioned in public conversations or the in the MSM.
The GOP strategy is to surrender to Osama bin Laden at every turn and then torture a few small fry to make Ann Coulter and Tim Russert happy.
While this strategy no doubt impresses the brain trust in Mississipi and Alabama, it is hardly the strategy worth of the nation that won at Valley Forge, New Orleans, Missionary Ridge, Normandy and Inchon.
