I see an interesting stat here: 33% of eligibile voters will caucus.
85% of eligible voters will attend the primaries. I am talking about the state of Washington.

Who are these people willing and able to go to the caucuses?
Who are these people who almost unanimously decide to attend the primaries?
Why do caucuses discourage democratic participation?
It is no secret that one candidate is benefiting from these low-turnout caucuses: Obama.
This diary was inspired by an exchange in the comments section between a person who said something to the effect that only "wine drinkers" caucus. Another person told the former that he should be ashamed for saying that.
