IMO it's the winning combination. Has this been discussed before? All of our strengths, none our our weaknesses.
Obama's strengths are what the country is hungry for. Ironically, in contrast to the Bush administration, Obama is a "uniter not a divider"... he will "change the tone in Washington"... and of course he will "bring Democrats and Republicans together". Sound familiar? I truly believe things things about Obama.
His campaign is funded by an unprecedented amount of individual, private donations via the web. This is very important and can't be overlooked, why? Because those donations are also (generally) anonymous and completely void of the corporate lobby. Change anyone?
He majored in international relations, and I believe he has the knowledge, charisma and character required to renew the American image throughout the world. I also believe he has a fair shot at accomplishing the impossible. To bring about change in the middle east. Yes, that's an extremely lofty goal.
I can go on and on about his strengths and why I support him. But that's not the focus of this diary and I try to keep them relatively short.
Why General Clark would be a fantastic running mate:
Perception is everything at the voting booth. In this realm the Democrats in general are weak on military matters and national security. Before you guys throw fits I'll say it again: PERCEPTION is what I'm speaking about. What's going to be used against Obama is the "the cheese eating surrender monkey" routine, and of course lack of experience.
Now let's add General Clark to the plate:
Valedictorian at West Point. A Rhodes Scholarship to the University of Oxford. His Degree: Philosophy, Politics & Economics. As a highly decorated General Officer, Welsey Clark has had long and accomplished career in the United States Army. With Clark you pick up a vast array of experience and credibility without delving into the cookie-cutter career politicians.
I couldn't possibly think a more wining combination these two. This in includes not only voting booth, but more important, to lead this country.
You can't get any stronger for our men and women in uniform. You can't get any stronger on national defense.
So there it is Obama! Are you reading this?
What about you, Sir?
