Here is the Real truth about yesterday's Republican walk out.

"During what was supposed to be a somber memorial service in Statuary Hall for Rep. Tom Lantos, who died Monday, the House chamber became mired in chaos over procedural votes," the Politico reports.
But Democratic aides were shocked when, during the middle of a memorial for Holocaust survivor and Congressman Tom Lantos, GOP Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart demanded a procedural vote on the floor, forcing members to leave the service early, even "while dignitaries were still giving tributes to Lantos."
"The disrespect that has been shown by a Republican member of Congress in calling a political procedural motion during the memorial service for the late Chairman Tom Lantos is incomprehensible," said Stacey Bernards, a spokeswoman for House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.). "It is unjustifiable, and Republican leaders should restrict their members from further such action."
This is what the Republicans did during a funeral service. If the Dems had did this during a Republicans funeral service could you imagine how the media would have responded? This stunt was very distrespectful. Even worst.
Here's Diaz-Balart speaking on the House floor, claiming he was justified to interrupt the memorial because the House had been called back in session. But no votes were scheduled during the memorial, and the vote he call was entirely procedural:
Apparently the Republicans had planned this.
House Republicans are upset that Democrats are voting today on contempt citations for White House aides Harriet Miers and Josh Bolten, and vowed to hold 'protest votes' to suck up time and delay the contempt proceedings.
The good news Contempt Charges did pass.
http://news.yahoo.com/...
The vote was 223-32 Thursday to hold presidential chief of staff Josh Bolten and former White House counsel Harriet Miers in contempt. The citations charge Miers with failing to testify and accuse her and Bolten of refusing Congress' demands for documents related to the 2006-2007 firings.

The House has asked Mr. Bolten and Ms. Miers to testify about the firing of nine United States attorneys, who appear to have been pushed out because they refused to use their offices to help the Republican Party win elections.
Mr. Bolten and Ms. Miers made baseless claims of executive privilege — and then simply ignored the subpoenas.
Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, Democrat of Maryland, got it right: if it failed to enforce these subpoenas, the House would "be giving its tacit consent to the dangerous idea of an imperial presidency, above the law and beyond the reach of checks and balances."
The Republican Rule of Law is that Laws do not matter to them. They will disgrace themselves in order to sidetrack what really happen yesterday. The truth is there, but I doubt the media will cover the truth. Did you see any coverage yesterday actually telling the truth about the Walk Out? All I saw was the media giving air time to cover the Republicans.
This was a disgrace not only to a member of congress who died, but to the rule of law as well. We must hold Republicans accountable and vote them out of office for this disgraceful display and lack of respect.
