I am very happy with the wins Barack has racked up to this point, but I am a little bit worried.
To get to the point, can we brainstorm together and find possible trap questions for Barack and send them to the campaign? Most of us agree the only card left for the Clinton's is to play right now is to trap Senator Obama and in the process try to look like a better prepared candidate. Recently, her campaign openly said she is the only one ready to be a commander-in-chief. That got me worried. As we all know CNN leans heavily toward Hillary (the Clinton's) and Tim Russert of MSNBC would like to be neutral and tricky at the same time, so I believe both networks are going to throw hard hitting and trap questions furiously at Barack in the coming debates.
I know Barack has very smart and capable people around him. However, I also believe all of us coming together and brainstorming can be helpful in the process. So, watching TV tonight, I began to think there might be one thing we can do here at dailykos.
Here are a few questions I thought about regarding the US military. I will add some more regarding other critical issues and include all of the other questions you guys will post by updating it as quickly as possible.
Senator Obama,
1. Do you know how many people are serving in active duty and as a reserve component in the United States armed force right now?
2. Can you name the head of any of the head of the service branches, including U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard? As a Senator, do you have personal relation ship with any of these commanders?
3. Senator Obama, you have talked about Afghanistan a lot in the campaign, can you tell us something about the country, like, whether they are mostly Shiite or Sunni, the population number and bordering countries?
4. Can you tell us the name of the Hizbollah leader that was killed in an explosion this week? What do you think about assassinating leaders, mostly believed to be a terrorist, like him?
5. Do you support military invasion of Iran if the intelligence shows they are getting close to produce nuclear arsenals? What do you think about Israeli nuclear project?
and more..
I know most of the questions look silly, but don't forget these are the kind of questions that can nearly sink a front runner. Who expected Hillary would have fumbled so badly the illegal-driver question at the debate two months ago? Also, don't forget in 2000, Bush was asked if he knew the name of the leader in Pakistan, and of course, he bombed it. And, that was before 9/11.
If you think this dairy is helpful, please don't forget to recommend it so that more people would be able to see it and participate.
