The news media as well as Hillary Clinton's own surrogate, Wes Clark, is now calling her campaign "tattered and disorganized." The media has criticized her lack of a coherent game plan after Super Tuesday as shortsighted. The AP says the Clinton candidacy is fading. In less than a months time, the once thought impenetrable armor known as the Clinton machine has succumb to this young upstart with a funny name.
The bottomline is, who could have anticipated a guy with less than three years in the Senate going on to out raise, out produce crowds, out organize, out advertise and basically out think the mighty Clintons.
Obama is now 10-0 in post Super Tuesday primary wins and the Clinton campaign is having a difficult time recovering. The durability of the Clinton campaign could not have been helped by losing coverage mid speech to Obama by all three networks last night (video of the cutoff below).
It is now time for Clinton to go into her super weapon closet again:
She could pull out the southern drawl one more time to prove the South made a mistake by choosing Obama.
She could make another overconfident prediction like she did about Super Tuesday by assuming the race would be over by then.
She could shed another tear at having to remain in the Senate.
Or she could pull out her secret weapon Deanesque scream thingy.
I can only imagine which one she is going to use but I suspect it is going to be something big because Obama's push to the nomination is looking all but unstoppable now.
