Firefox offers a built in spell checker for emails. As I write words, misspelled words are underlined. It even happens as I write this for Daily Kos, which tells me I spelled Kos wrong.
Well, as I'm writing to my sisters and friends about the remarkable speech I just witnessed by Michelle Obama earlier tonight in Warwick RI, I noted that the program is telling me that I spelled Obama and Barack incorrectly.
I then typed Clinton and Romney and McCain and quite a few other words and the red line telling me these words are spelled wrong does not appear. Even Limbaugh is in there as correctly spelled. Hannity isn't.
But Barack and Obama do not yet exist as correctly spelled words!
Does anyone know how to get Firefox to enter 2008? Don't you think it's time for a spell checker to register Barack and Obama as correctly spelled words? Does anyone else think maybe it's time to accept that maybe Barack Obama has arrived?
Yes, there is a way to add words to your dictionary so Barack and Obama no longer get underlined. I was just wondering when it's time for the world to not have to do this. Surely we don't have to wait until Jan 20th!
Oh, and the last time I voted for a person for President was Jimmy Carter. Ever since then I haven't voted for someone, I've voted against the other guy. In 2008, I'll be voting FOR someone again. Barack Obama, (hopefully without the words red underlined.)
