For me at least. I'm going to be a "me me" for a moment.
Reasons why.
I have always stood strong with our party's nominee whether or not I have supported them before they were the nominee. Unity is important going into the general election. However, many things are different this time around.
Obama has not been truly vetted yet. His voting record has not been scrutinized by anyone yet. His past really has not been talked about out in the open. When I say open I mean not the NYT, or political sites, I am talking about media that my grandparents and parents would watch and read.
Obama has never had to run a campaign with a "real" opponent on the republican side.
Could we democrats take this chance at this crucial time on inexperience?
Never underestimate the power of the Republicans. Don't let this so called party division be a distraction.
They like to play games. Once they get ahold of Obama they will rip him to shreds and discredit everything
they possibly can. Look at Clinton in 1992. There are a lot of similarities between Obama and Bill. Obama is using some of Bill's plays out of his playbook.
Do we know the TRUE number of crossover votes in those open primary states? Nobody seems interested in talking about this. I find it interesting that alot of rural voters are voting and for Obama and these are in Republican areas. If they are truly mad about McCain it is possible that they are doing a protest vote by voting for Obama. Hey, I'm a Mitt Mittens, it's easy to see how this can happen and the exit polls are crap and do not tell the real story.
I am a hard nosed democrat. I love my party. I cannot support Obama. We will lose the general election. A lot of you have to slap yourselves and stop being so overconfident and believing these polls.
Anything can happen between now and November.
The republicans are gonna slam Obama even if its lies, some people will believe them you have to accept that and know that it could be a losing race. Obama is a more polarizing figure for the republicans than Hillary. Do not buy into their crap when they say Hillary is.
We all know the extremist right wing will put out there some nasty nasty things.
They will inject race you better believe it.
They do not play nice.
It will get down and dirty.
I don't want any part in it.
I am done. My heart will break win Edwards comes out with an Obama Endorsement.
It will break even more when Hillary has to make a tough decision.
Thanks everyone for screwing it up for all of us.
On empty words and false promises of hope.
All coming out of a 'great speaker", well Maya Angelou is a great speaker is she the president?
All one must do is look at Jimmy Carter's tenure. hmmmm....look familiar?
