Damn to be barred from a event from the canidate that you are supporting and have been campaigning for. Sucks to be you.
Hillary Clinton has told Providence Mayor David N. Cicilline, her former state campaign chair, that he is barred from attending her Rhode Island appearance Sunday afternoon, for fear that his presence would cause disruptive protests by the Providence firefighters union.
Here is his response to being barred from the event.
"It’s obviously something for me to think about very carefully, because I am very disappointed in the decision of the Clinton campaign. I’m not prepared to say more than that today. I obviously have tremendous respect for Senator Clinton, but I’m very disappointed in the decision of her campaign today," Cicilline said.
Here is the kicker. When the President of the Providence Firefighters Union was asked was he happy about the decision of Senator Clinton's campaign barring the mayor from the event.
"Absolutely. I think Hillary Clinton’s a good judge of character,"
That might sting a little.
I guess the mayor is not the only person questioning their support for Senator Clinton right about now. Too bad he had to wait until he got barred from a campaign event to do so.
