In any political election, it is important to keep in mind the age of each candidate, if for no other reason than to know who has the greatest chance of not making it through a single term in office. While I admit that I have not paid strict attention to each and every detail of the current US presidential election, I have tried to stay as current and informed as I can. And I have yet to hear much about the respective ages of John McCain, Hillary Clinton, or Barack Obama. So, I looked into the matter and here is what I found.

While I admit that I have not paid strict attention to each and every detail of the current US presidential election, I have tried to stay as current and informed as I can. And I have yet to hear much about the respective ages of John McCain, Hillary Clinton, or Barack Obama. So, I looked into the matter and here is what I found.
John McCain is 71 years old. His father, John Sidney McCain, Jr., lived until he was 70 years old. His mother, Roberta Wright McCain, is still alive at 96 years old.
Hillary Clinton is 60 years old. Her father, Hugh Ellsworth Rodham, lived until he was 82 years old. Her mother, Dorothy Emma Howell Rodham, is still alive at 88 years old.
Barack Obama is 46 years old. His father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., lived until he was approximately 46 years old. His mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, lived until she was 52 years old.
It seems that, while Barack Obama is by far the youngest of these candidates, his parents did not live long lives. His mother died of cancer and, although, I can find no record of his father's cause of death, I assume that it was most likely a natural cause of some sort. This suggests that while Barack might be the youngest candidate, he also might not exactly live to see his 96th birthday like John McCain.
Then again, McCain's brain is a quarter of a century older and Clinton's is not much younger. So, aside from all of the political differences and the blatantly insane choice of voting for John McCain, it appears that Barack Obama is our best choice for president.
