The continuing controversy over allegations that the Clinton campaign deliberately darkened and widened the picture of Barack Obama to subliminally play on subconscious racism and bigotry took a radical turn today, when the Clinton campaign mailed out the following fundraising denial of the allegations:
Dear Clinton Souljah:
By now you are probably aware of the repeated smearing of Hillary by the Left Wing Hate Site, DailyKos, under the direction of its owner, Markos Moulitsas Zunigga.
Hillary categorically denies that any intentional darkiening of Senator Obama's image occurred and further stresses that some of her best friends are senators.
Accusing the Clinton campaign of this NBA type of hooliganism is beyond the pale. Our position is this: we have run a lily white campaign and, if you send us some bling, we will continue to do so.
With your help, we will continue to battle and defeat the forces of darkieness that blacken the extreme left wing of our nation's political debate.
Now, I'll admit that I was impressed with this denial, and for some strange reason I also found myself starting to fear and loathe Senator Obama. However, the true Clinton campaign colors were revealed when I took a close look at the unflattering picture of Markos that they included in their mailer.
It took some time to find it, but the source of their picture was a screen shot of Markos on CNN some time ago:
However, the difference between that source and the image they pushed out with their fundraising email cannot be explained away by technical jargon crap. I defy any of you experts to demonstrate how the Clinton campaign could have taken that original image and "innocently" transformed it to this:
Incidentally, has anybody ever seen Markos and Michelle Malkin in the same room at the same time?
