Bear with me:
Okay,
So I see a story today. I see it everywhere.
It's about drugs in our water.
For instance, on CNN (on-line and on t.v.).
In the course of a five-month inquiry, the AP discovered that drugs have been detected in the drinking water supplies of 24 major metropolitan areas -- from Southern California to Northern New Jersey, from Detroit, Michigan, to Louisville, Kentucky.
The story (of course telling what many of us have known well for years - that there are drugs in our prescription drugs infiltrating our drinking water via the pharmaceuticals we're eliminating) is not so much that the media is finally covering the story (it's all over on-line) because the ASSOCIATED PRESS did an "investigation" (cripes) but that CNN is choosing to illustrate it with an election map style graphic.
It seems our politics are nothing more than poison.
I wish I could copy the map for you but I can't. You MUST SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT! (Thanks to lgmcp for copying the map in his/her comment below.)

UPDATE AND Correction - At first I thought that some small good news might be that at least the blue states are the poison-free areas! But that's not the case. It's the OPPOSITE. The blue states on the map are where they indentified pharmaceuticals in the drinking water.
The blue states are poisonous.
