There, you have it. I've said it. Flame on.
No backwater governor's wife or lawyer for shady Arkansas deals is going to end up Senator from NY and in 2nd place for the Democratic Nomination. She had to be First Lady to do that - know what she did to achieve that position? - Nada. Oh, she mighta gave a couple speeches and stuck by Bill during the infidelity crisis, but millions of women across America do that with substantially less recognition or elevation of status.
She has gotten her name, her success, and her achievements all on the back of her Husband and their shared last name and the equity it brings. Afterwards, they moved to NYC where liberal politics reign and ran an expensive campaign for Senator (which she probably could have won hands down in Arkansas) for the expressed purpose of getting to this spot a few years later and being able to carry the populated state in a primary, methinks. Somehow, in Ms. Ferraro's mind, this translates into the idea that Hillary deserves the nomination and Barack is lucky because he is black - go figure.
If we crank back the time machine and Herbert Walker Bush won relection in 1992, I doubt we'd have heard much more from Hillary, and Barack would still be the number one frontrunner for the Democratic Nominee in 2008.
She's damn lucky. But as all the suckers and losers say at the poker table - "I'd rather be lucky then good" But they walk away without the nomination, cause the best players/candidates hold up.
