Am I missing something? Is there a great cosmic voice (perhaps of the Flying Spaghetti Monster) laughing at my confusion? Did I forget to read the memo?
How on earth did Maurice Hinchey and Dennis Kucinich, two of our most progressive members of Congress, vote against the FISA amendments with no telecom amnesty included?
I would write more here, but there's not much to this diary. I just simply don't understand what's going on here. I can't find any statement from either of these individuals explaining this vote. I don't see any articles or commentary on this. Were they opposed to any amendments of FISA? Were they making a political statement? Were they actually in favor of telecom immunity?
Can't someone help me?
