Oh...you mean, a strike by the people who write puff pieces about their chosen candidate, and then get pissy because these pieces get bashed?
BOO-DE-FUCKING-HOO.
Here's a news flash: I despise candidate diaries - however earnest and impassioned - and avoid them like the plague they are. I don't care who you support, upon which candidate you would perform oral sex, whose love child you would carry, which scurvy knave you could never ever vote for, or to whom you have switched your allegiance this week.
Sorry - I just don't give a fuck.
However, if you choose to write your engaging opinion/research on the FISA debate or about the current administration's ongoing assaults on the constitution or about red congressional seats we could possibly turn blue, or if you write about natural disasters or Bush-made disasters or sports or music or religion or poetry - then, I love you, and want to post and riposte with you.
Please, just take your favorite candidate stuff to a website that cares. I have come to hate the discourse during this primary season. I disagree with those here who think the 2004 season was worse - this has really, truly sucked canal water and I hope I don't see its like again any time soon.
The good thing is, the debate has cut the time required for me to find and read the posts I care about by sixty percent or more.
So, strike away, good people! I can honestly say I won't miss your posts. And if Obama's adherents would like to reciprocate, please do! I am all for that.
